The transformation of Marress House from a former HMRC Building to a modern, well-equipped centre for Early Years education is nearing completion.
The new centre, in the grounds of Cunninghame House, will open its doors to its first intake of young people on August 20.
In addition to state-of-the-art childcare facilities, it will also house the Council’s Public CCTV and Concierge Service in a separate part of the building.
It also has a training suite, which will be used to enhance the skillset of the Early Years workforce across the authority.
This is a service which, it is hoped, can be extended to other authorities when it is fully established.
We would ask that people take extra care when entering and leaving the car park, in accordance with the signage.
Expanding our Early Years provision
The opening of Marress House Early Years Centre will mean some changes to the comings and goings around the car park area at Cunninghame House.
Staff are asked to be aware of an increase in pedestrians (adults and children) and vehicles.
Staff at Cunninghame House will already have noted new signage and road markings that have been installed on the approach to Marress House recently
We would ask that people take extra care when entering and leaving the car park, in accordance with the signage.
Marress House has its own drop-off area for parents/carers arriving by car, so drivers within the Cunninghame House car park (especially the EV Charging spaces) should be aware of vehicles exiting from Marress House.
