Child Protection Engagement Event 2025

P7 and S1 pupils from across North Ayrshire schools attended a young persons’ engagement event held by North Ayrshire Child Protection Committee (CPC) at Greenwood Academy on Friday 2 May. Around 100 young people, along with staff from their schools, came along to the event, which was organised by the CPC’s Public Information and Engagement Group. The aim of the event was for the CPC to learn more about what young people know with regards to accessing support on a range of child protection issues, find out where there are gaps in knowledge or sources of information, and discuss with young people the best ways to share this information with them – and in what format – so they have all of the resources they need to keep them safe and well.
