Two minutes silence for Armistice Day

North Ayrshire’s Provost, Councillor Anthea Dickson is asking staff to join her in observing a two minute silence at 11am on Armistice Day, Tuesday 11 November, signifying the exact time hostilities ceased at the end of the First World War in 1918.

Within Cunninghame House, the two-minute silence will be marked with the sounding of the fire alarm.
