Adult Support and Protection – help us to spread awareness

The council alongside North Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership once again demonstrated their support on Thursday 20 February for National Adult Support and Protection Day.

This annual awareness-raising campaign aims to remind members of the public to act on any concerns they may have about vulnerable adults who could be at risk from harm, neglect or exploitation.

Sharing information via  the HSCP Facebook channel, this year, in addition to the general adult support and protection message the team highlighted how people can be impacted by financial harm (see video below).

We all have a responsibility to look out for adults who could be at risk of harm and should report any concerns we have, as they may not be able to do so themselves.

To find out more about who to contact if you are concerned about someone, visit the Adult Support and Protection page of the North Ayrshire Council website. Or in an emergency, always call 999.
