Financial Harm Awareness
Thursday 14 April: 13.30pm to 16.30pm
Course content: Recognise the types and indicators of financial harm; understand the impact of financial harm on different adult groups; state the sources of help or interventions that will support or protect adults experiencing financial harm; understand how to report adults at risk of financial harm, in relation to the Adult Support & Protection (Scotland) Act 2007.
This course is open to all staff within all services and agencies within North Ayrshire who work with adults on a regular basis.
Understanding Domestic Abuse
Wednesday 27 April: 9.30am to 12:30pm
Course content: Training exploring domestic abuse and its effects; be able to define domestic abuse as sexual, physical, mental/emotional abuse; appreciate the impact of domestic abuse on those who experience it and how it affects their behaviours and choices; understand the main issues of providing a sensitive and appropriate service to women, children and young people experiencing domestic abuse; be able to identify and list local sources of support and information for women and children experiencing abuse.
The course is open to staff from all services/agencies in North Ayrshire.
