Annual rent consultation and tenant satisfaction survey

North Ayrshire Council’s annual rent consultation will be carried out this year between Thursday 21 November 2024 and Sunday 12 January 2025.

A letter containing the rent increase options has been issued to all Council tenants inviting them to complete an online survey.

A QR code and link to the consultation survey within the letter, gives tenants the opportunity to complete the questionnaire and indicate their preferred option. They can do this over the phone, online or by email.

Housing Services will also be doing the following:

  • offering two £50 shopping voucher as an incentive
  • Microsoft Forms link to questionnaire for ease of completion online
  • oromotion of rent consultation via website
  • encouraging tenants to visit their local housing office or library to complete the consultation online or call the Customer Contact Centre to complete the survey over the phone; or request a survey form to be posted to them with a freepost return envelope
  • publicising the consultation via home and site visits / consultation events
  • utilising social media channels (Housing and Corporate)
  • display information on TV screens in Housing Offices
  • sending text messages/emails sent to tenants

North Ayrshire Council’s Housing Service is committed to providing a high-quality service to our tenants. To help us improve our service we regularly consult and involve tenants in the decisions which affect their home, tenancy and community they live in.

As part of this commitment to consultation and improvement, Housing Services has appointed Knowledge Partnership to conduct a Tenant Satisfaction Survey on our behalf. The survey is being conducted on a face-to-face basis and a researcher from Knowledge Partnership will visit tenants to ask tenants to give their views.  This will be performed via a short interview lasting approximately 20 minutes.

The survey will cover several important issues relating to their home, the service we provide and their local neighbourhood. Information gathered from the survey will help us to improve our services and gather important feedback about tenants’ satisfaction with various services, which we report on to the Scottish Housing Regulator.

Interviews will take place from late November for approximately six weeks. Visits will be made Mon to Fri (10am to 7:30 pm), Sat (11am to 6pm), and Sun (12pm to 5pm).
