Irvine is being transformed into a giant game from 24 September – 5 November 2025, and your community is invited to play.
Earn points, get active and win prizes and awards for you and your community in this free, fun, walking, cycling and wheeling game.
Beat the Street is for everyone so there are two ways that you can play: You can play with a Beat the Street game card or via our mobile app.
Players over the age of 13 can play with the app, and should download it via Google Play or iOS app store . Follow the on-screen instructions to create your account and add any additional player profiles.
If using a game card, please follow the steps below:
- Create an account on the website, add family members and join a team.
- Collect a game card and map. Schools will provide game packs to children with cards for pupils and parents/carers along with maps. Adults can also collect game cards and maps from local distribution points.
- Check out the map where you can find the Beat Boxes to tap around Irvine to score points for walking, cycling, wheeling or running between them.
Create or join your community team and you could win loads of great prizes! You can find out more about how to sign up and get involved on the Beat The Street website.
To start playing Beat the Street in Irvine, school pupils age 12 and under can also collect a Beat the Street card from their school.
If you want to get involved but have any questions first of all, drop a message to the Travel Smart team: travelsmart@north-ayrshire.gov.uk or head over to the helpful FAQs page.
