Christmas Gift Appeal 2024

We’re calling on kind-hearted Council staff to spare a thought to those less fortunate in our communities and, where possible, donate to our Christmas Gift Appeal.

Our Child Protection team is again appealing to staff and members of the public for donations of toys and gifts to be distributed to North Ayrshire’s most vulnerable families.

They would like to thank everyone who donated last year, when the team managed to provide to over 150 children and make a positive difference to their Christmas.

Following the success of last year’s appeal, the team is looking for donations of new, unwrapped toys and gifts for children aged from birth to 16 years of age, as well as adult-sized pyjamas, slippers and blankets.

For guidance, the types of donations the team is looking for includes:

  • Ages 0 to 5: Toys, PJs, slippers, books, puzzles, Play-Doh
  • Ages 5 to 10: Toys, board games, arts and crafts, sensory toys, PJs, slippers, Barbies or baby dolls, Squishmallows
  • Ages 10 to 16: PJs, slippers, bath sets, make-up and nail polish, hair sets, arts and crafts
a christmas stocking

If you would like to contribute, please get in touch with kirstiemccristall@north-ayrshire.gov.uk or kerryglover@north-ayrshire.gov.uk. Donations can then be dropped off at the reception of Bridgegate House until Tuesday 10 December.
