Colleagues can now support North Ayrshire Foodbank

North Ayrshire Foodbank are in need of urgent donations for emergency food parcels.

As well as having donation points via a host of local supermarkets, a Foodbank donations drop-off cart has been re-established on the ground floor of Cunninghame House at the main entrance (Marress House side).

Watch the video below to find out how making even a small donation of a few food items can go a long way and to learn more about the journey from donation to plate…

Colleagues who would prefer to donate directly can also make monetary donations via the Foodbank Payroll Giving webpage on Connects.

Stay tuned to News In Brief for updates as the North Ayrshire Foodbank team will soon be visiting Cunninghame House to spread the word further.

The items currently required by North Ayrshire Foodbank are:

  • Long life fruit juice and milk
  • Jam and marmalade
  • Microwave rice pouches
  • Pasta and jars of pasta sauces
  • Tinned items including custard, fruit and vegetables, beans, canned meats, spaghetti, stews, soups and peas

Unlike the Foodbank providing emergency food provision, North Ayrshire’s Fairer Food network of 16 community larders can support residents facing food insecurity via a membership scheme where members can access their weekly grocery shopping at a subsidised cost.

Find out more about the larder network (including opening times and locations) via the dedicated webpage.
