All young people are talented, however many face challenges in their lives that make it harder for them to succeed.
National mentoring charity MCR Pathways is seeking volunteers who can ‘Share an Hour’ and provide more young people with a mentor who’s there just for them.
MCR carefully matches young people with a mentor to meet in their school for just one hour each week, with this one-to-one relationship often making a profound impact on their confidence. With their mentor’s help, they feel supported to focus on their future pathway. No qualifications are needed to become a mentor, just the desire to make a difference.
As well as the life-changing impact on a young person, volunteers also benefit, gaining new skills in active listening, communication and leadership.
