North Ayrshire Council have progressed from a Disability Confident: Level 2 Employer to a Disability Confident Leader: Level 3.
The latest development marks another key milestone in our continued journey of ensuring we attract, employ, and retain people with disabilities and those with long term health conditions in support of being a Council who is Fair to All.
The Council is proud to be recognised as a Disability Confident Leader and to be able to display the Disability Confident Scheme Identity and support prospective employees and current employees’ employment journey with North Ayrshire Council by removing any barriers to promote an inclusive workforce.
By stepping up to become a Disability Confident Leader, the Council will act as a champion within our local and business community, by supporting and encouraging local businesses and partners to adopt a similar approach to disabilities to provide workplaces for all to thrive.
