Countdown to new website begins

IT Services has announced that the launch of the new North Ayrshire Council Website will take place on Monday, 16 September.

Thank you to everyone who has shared their views on the beta version of the new Council website over the past few months.

The new website has been redesigned based on feedback from residents across North Ayrshire.

Most of our website visitors, 69%, access content on mobile devices. We have made sure that webpages will respond to all screen sizes for an improved user experience.

Our new menu provides access to all service pages, popular tasks, the A-to-Z listing, and council activities, including Our Council Plan.

Popular tasks, like pay and apply are highlighted. These are the things that people visit our website for most often. They will be reviewed to ensure they continue to meet needs.

The bin collection portal has also been rebuilt to display bin days in date order. The new payment portal prioritises this crucial task into a single page.

News articles have a modern magazine feel. They are now easier to filter and share via social channels and email.

A new events calendar promotes cultural activities across North Ayrshire.

The much-improved search function is available at the top of every page. Predictive content is auto filled on input of a few characters to the search bar.

The introduction of the ‘show/hide’ tool allows the reader to scan to content relevant to need.

Drop-in sessions will provide digital support in the community and raise awareness of changes. Team demonstrations are available on request.

Look out for your new desktop graphics and QR code to share your feedback.
