Residents across North Ayrshire are being invited to contribute their lived-experience to Scotland’s Covid-19 Community Memorial Programme.
Named ‘Remembering Together’, the community memorial project aims to commission collective acts of reflection, remembrance, hope and healing in a host of arts projects across Scotland.
Ice Cream Architecture – North Ayrshire’s creative practitioner, had previously arranged workshops for week commencing Monday 12 September, however as a mark of respect for Her Majesty the Queen, these have been postponed and new dates, times and locations are as follows:
Tuesday 20 September – Fairlie Village Hall (12-3pm)
Wednesday 21 September – Fullarton Community Hub, Irvine (12-3pm)
Thursday 22 September – Geilsland Hall, Beith (12-3pm)
Residents from Arran and Cumbrae and other individuals are also encouraged to share their experiences both positive and negative of the pandemic and its lockdowns via the online map of memories: www.mapofmemories.com
