As part of the Council’s commitment to support you to achieve a work-life balance, we have re-launched a scheme which enables you to purchase additional annual leave up to 5 days (pro-rata part time employees) and spread the cost over a full year, subject to service approval.
As part of our continued commitment to supporting employee well-being and work-life balance, the buying additional annual leave scheme for non-teaching employees will open for applications from Friday 1 September 2023.
As a reminder, the scheme enables employees to purchase additional annual leave up to 5 days (pro-rata for part time employees) and spread the cost over a full year, subject to service approval.
The application window opened on 1st September 2023 and close at midnight on 13 October 2023 and will be for the 2024 leave year.

If you are interested in purchasing additional annual leave, you must talk to your line manager before submitting your application.
N.B. If you have applied for VER and are approved to leave, applications for buying additional annual leave will not be progressed.
