Event will mark Overdose Awareness Day

Turning Point Scotland’s PEAR service is inviting friends and family members of those lost to an overdose to a remembrance event being held from 1.30pm to 3.30pm on Wednesday 31 August at Irvine’s Low Green.

Organised to mark International Overdose Awareness Day, a flower float will take place to commemorate the lives of those who have sadly passed away and to stand in support with those affected by these losses.

Staff, volunteers and other partners will be on hand at the event to provide Naloxone kits and support for anyone who has lost a loved one or who has concerns about a loved one. They can also provide support, information and signposting for anyone struggling with their own drug or alcohol use.

The event will take place by the footbridge close to the former HSCP West Road premises.
