Ayrshire Roads Alliance are offering free car seat safety checks in Ayrshire next week.
No booking is required, and families can simply drop in on:
- Tuesday 15 April: New Cumnock Fire Station, Castle, New Cumnock, Cumnock KA18 4BQ
(10am until midday) - Tuesday 15 April: Kilmarnock Fire Station, 33 Campbell St, Riccarton, Kilmarnock KA1 4HL
(2pm until 4pm) - Wednesday 16 April: Girvan Fire Station, Piedmont Rd, Girvan KA26 0DS (10am and midday)
- Wednesday 16 April: Troon Fire Station, 106 Portland St, Troon KA10 6QN (2pm until 4pm)
- Thursday 17 April: Largs Fire Station, Brisbane Rd, Largs KA30 8NQ (10am and midday)
- Thursday 17 April: Kilwinning Fire Station, Stevenston Rd, Kilwinning KA20 3DA (2pm until 4pm)
The initiative aims to help ensure children are travelling safely and that car seats are correctly fitted.
Car seat safety is crucial to protect children and significantly reduce the risk of serious injury or death in the event of a crash.
The public is invited to attend the sessions to ensure that car seats are fitted properly to minimise the force of impact and risk of injury.
