Community groups and organisations are to be given a helping hand to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations this summer.
This week, the Queen became the first British monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee having reigned for 70 years.
To celebrate, the Council has set up the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Fund and community groups and organisations who wish to hold their own community-led events to commemorate the occasion are now being invited to apply for grants of £250, £500, or £1,000.
If you are working in the community, please spread the word. More info and details of how to apply are in the news release here. Alternatively, access the application form directly here. With £25,000 available, groups have until 5pm on Monday, 28 February, to apply and funding awards will then be reviewed and allocated by the end of March.
