Learn more about the new Local Outcomes Improvement Plan

The Council’s Community Planning Partnership is developing a new Strategic Plan – the Local Outcomes Improvement Plan (LOIP).

The Council’s Community Planning Partnership (CPP) is public agencies working in partnership locally with communities, the private and third sectors to plan and deliver better services.

This includes all services that might affect you such as: social work, home care, adult protection, roads, antisocial behaviour services, business support, playparks, housing, education and healthcare – among others.

Currently the cross-cutting themes influencing the Local Outcomes Improvement Plan are:

  • Building stronger communities by enabling communities to increase control over their lives, being supported to do things for themselves and having their voices heard in the planning and delivery of services.
  • Prevention by tackling issues early to stop things from happening in the first place or from getting worse.

The new LOIP is a binding plan on all Community Planning partner organisations (including North Ayrshire Council) and will influence how partners operate locally. It will run from 2022-30. It is more focused than our previous plan in order to address local inequalities more proactively.

It will deliver on the Council’s vision of “North Ayrshire – Fair for All” and has three key themes:

  • Wellbeing – We will address health inequalities. We will promote children and young people’s wellbeing. We will enable community wellbeing.
  • Work – We will increase employment. We will develop volunteering. We will better support our young people.
  • World – We will work together to reduce carbon emissions and mitigate the impacts of climate change. We will increase active travel. We will increase carbon literacy within our organisations and communities.

Find out more at Local Outcomes Improvement Plan – North Ayrshire Community Planning Partnership.  Now that public consultation is complete, the next steps are finalising the plan document, creating accessible versions and developing the action plan and performance management arrangements in conjunction with our communities. Thank you to all those who supported in developing this.
