On Saturday 24 February, the core network will be upgraded.
With the work commencing at 8am, outages will be spread across the day with different systems affected at different times depending on the reliance on the core network of that given device.
The most critical upgrade will take place between 9am and 10am when a specific core switch will have its upgrade resulting in outage of almost everything, including:
- Remote working
- All Council public facing on premise hosted systems
- Internet access for any remote corporate site and any internal users at Cunninghame House that day
- Any access to PSN Network including FER
- Corporate library machines
- Some internal network routing at Cunninghame House
- Any access from remote sites to Cunninghame House and beyond affecting all schools, libraries and corporate sites.
