Do you work with parents or carers in North Ayrshire who look after a child or young person with a diagnosed or suspected neurodevelopmental difference, such as Autism, ADHD or FASD?
If so, the Neurodevelopmental Empowerment & Strategy Team (NEST) is holding a series of focus groups throughout March to engage with parents and carers. These sessions will help us to map out existing supports and inform new services in North Ayrshire.
Sessions will take place at the following locations and times, with refreshments provided. An additional session will take place on Microsoft Teams for anyone who is unable to make it along to an in-person event.
- Monday 4 March: Saltcoats Town Hall, 6.30pm to 8.30pm
- Tuesday 5 March: Bridgend Community Centre, Kilbirnie, 10am to 12pm
- Thursday 7 March: Fullarton ConneXions, Irvine, 12pm to 4pm
- Saturday 9 March: Clark Memorial Church, Largs, 2pm to 4pm
- Thursday 14 March: Ormidale Sports Pavilion, Arran, 11am to 1pm
- Tuesday 19 March: Via Microsoft Teams, 12pm to 2pm
If you know a parent or carer who might like to get involved, they can sign up for a session by visiting the NEST website.
Please help to spread the word about these sessions within your teams and with service users where possible. Posts will also be shared regularly in the coming weeks on the NAHSCP X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook pages, and we would be grateful if you could please share these on your own service’s social media channels where appropriate.
The NEST Hub is also full of useful resources and services in Ayrshire for neurodivergent people and their families. Visit the NEST website to find out more.
