We are extremely excited to share that North Ayrshire Council has been successful in its bid to become a ‘Fairer Futures Partnership’ with the Scottish Government.
The funding for this partnership will help to form a new Child Poverty Strategy Team to build upon the wide range of work already underway to tackle this key priority.
The new team, which is being funded for an 18-month period, includes a Strategy and Programme Manager (Child Poverty), Project Manager (Child Poverty), and Policy Officer (Child Poverty).
They will play an active role in delivering on the objectives of North Ayrshire’s Tackling Child Poverty and Cost of Living Board and our wider strategic priority of transitioning to a wellbeing economy.
Sam Anson, Executive Director for Education said: “I am delighted that we have secured a partnership with the Scottish Government to further our aims in this area. There is already incredible work going on across the Council to support our Wellbeing priority, and this team will help to boost that capacity, provide strategic direction and ensure we are doing all we can to support our communities.”
