North Ayrshire Participatory Budgeting voting now live!

Calling all North Ayrshire residents!

The voting stage of North Ayrshire Council’s Participatory Budgeting scheme is currently under way, so don’t miss the chance to have a say on where the cash is spent in your area.

How does the PB voting process work exactly?

There’s a total of £171,377 funding up for grabs for the community groups in need of a helping hand. From Monday (14 Oct) residents can vote on the Shaping North Ayrshire website for up to three projects in their locality.

The funding this year will be part of two funding cycles:

⭐ Locality PB: Health and Wellbeing, Building Community Spirit, Cost of Living, Green Projects

⭐ Youth PB: Youth Voice and Rights, Health and Wellbeing, Cost of Living, Green Projects

North Ayrshire residents in the Arran, the Garnock Valley, Irvine, Kilwinning, North Coast and Cumbrae and Three Towns, will be able to vote until the deadline of midnight on Friday 8 November.

There will also be the opportunity to vote in Libraries across North Ayrshire if you are unable to vote online.

Pupils across North Ayrshire secondary schools will also have the chance to vote online if they hold a Young Scot card or National Entitlement Card. Further support will be provided in schools for young people to vote with their Young Scot card or temporary numbers provided.

It’s now up to the people of North Ayrshire’s to decide which of the shortlisted projects most deserve to receive the funding.

Our residents know better than anyone else which projects will be the most beneficial to them in their local communities, so it is only fair that they have the final say on how this money is spent.

So if you live in North Ayrshire, please take the time to vote in the latest PB round.
