Official relaunch of Digi Gurus

The People and ICT service are excited to announce the re-launch of our Digi Guru Initiative!

Many colleagues will remember that the team initially launched the Digi Guru Initiative prior to Covid, and it was a great success.

However the pandemic interrupted the programme’s success, so People & ICT really want to get back to that positive story.

The Digi Guru’s program is designed to empower employees to become leaders in digital transformation within our organisation.

Who Can Become a Digi Guru?

The People and ICT directorate are looking for enthusiastic individuals from all departments who are eager to make a difference.

Whether you are a tech-savvy professional or someone who is passionate about learning new digital skills, colleagues are encouraged to apply.

Digi Gurus will have access to online training programs and will be provided with the necessary tools and resources to succeed in their roles.

The team will also organise regular meetups and workshops to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among Digi Gurus.

What is the Digi Guru initiative?

The Digi Guru initiative aims to identify and support individuals who are passionate about leveraging digital tools and technologies to drive innovation and efficiency. As a Digi Guru you will have the opportunity to:

  • share knowledge
  • educate and mentor colleagues on digital best practices and tools
  • drive innovation
  • collaborate with teams to identify and implement innovative digital solutions
  • receive training
  • gain access to exclusive training sessions and resources to enhance your digital skills.
NEW! Digi Guru Management team

To keep the initiative on track, the team are forming a Digi Guru Management team which will help refine and guide Digi Guru’s, driving the programme in the right direction.

What will the Digi Guru Management team do? Once selected, the management team will meet bi-monthly agree events, sessions and the general direction of the Digi Guru Initiative.  Management team members will be expected to bring their passion for all things digital with them instigating new ways to assist our staff in our agile environment and the digital world we live in.

Management team duties:

  • attend Management team meetings
  • participate and lead in events and sessions
  • bring new solutions and ideas to the team

Complete the Digi Guru Management team registration form by Monday 7 April 2025 to apply to be part of the action.
