Put the new Staff News website to the test

Take part in online or in person testing of the new Staff News website!

IT Services has developed features allowing you to:

  • access staff news safely and securely using multiple devices

  • access previous week’s News in Brief articles

  • learn how services are delivering council priorities through a new ‘Spotlight’ feature

  • read the latest news section for up-to-the minute Council information and

  • watch senior managers discuss key council priorities in our ‘Take Two’ video section.

In advance of publishing the site live, we want to test features with as many people as possible for further improvement. We especially want to hear from colleagues who:

  • have a keen interest in all things digital

  • struggle using websites

  • have accessibility needs

Testing sessions are confidential.

If you experience any issues when using websites, we’d appreciate if you would share with us why, but it’s not necessary.

Testing will take place via Teams and should take no longer than 15 to 20 minutes.

We’ll ask you to share your screen and use the tool to carry out 10 short tasks.

We’ll observe how the tool performs, take notes, and ask you some questions about your experience.

To volunteer as a tester, email the Web and Digital Experience team with your November availability and one of the team will be in touch.
