Roadshow event for young people at Volunteer Rooms

Ancho, in partnership with the Council’s Community Learning and Development team, is inviting young people aged 14 to 26 to a special event this week.

Named ‘In the Know Roadshow’, the drop-in event is aimed at providing vital support for wellbeing, mental health, life skills, and education.

Young people and their guardians are invited to the event taking place from 2pm to 4pm on Wednesday, 16th October, at the Volunteer Rooms in Irvine.

It will offer an excellent opportunity for attendees to learn about local resources that can help them develop essential life skills, access mental health and wellbeing support, and explore training and pre-employment opportunities.

Everyone is welcome. The event will have an open and supportive space for young people seeking guidance as they navigate important life transitions.

Louise Young, Community Support Worker at Ancho, is encouraging people to come along.

She said: “This is a great chance for young people to learn about the wide range of support available to them in the community.

“Whether you’re looking for guidance on your wellbeing, life skills, or exploring education and job opportunities, there will be plenty of useful information and support available. We really hope to see lots of people there!”
