Our Financial Challenge
Over the last number of years, our funding has failed to keep pace with the greater demand and cost of our services. That means we need to ensure we continue to focus on the services that have the greatest impact on our communities. The most significant pressures for 2019-20 are pay, pensions, and the growing demands within health and social care. We have already found £92m of savings since 2010. This is expected to continue in the coming years.
