Share your feedback on new website

North Ayrshire Council announced the launch of our new Council website on Monday 16 September. Now the IT Services team would like to hear your feedback…

The site has been redesigned with several new features to improve user experience and make it easier and faster to access Council services.

Some of the key improvements include:

  • Enhanced Search: A new autofill feature and improved search capabilities help find content, documents, and news faster.
  • Simplified Portals: New bin and pay portals make checking collection days and making payments easier.
• News and Events: Styled news articles, social sharing options, and a community events calendar to keep you informed and engaged.
  • Responsive Design: Optimised for mobile devices, with icons and a streamlined menu for quicker navigation.

The new website has been redesigned by the Council’s IT Services team based on invaluable feedback from our residents and colleagues.

Now that the website has been up and running for several weeks now, the team are keen to hear your views…

To coincide with the launch, one hour drop-in support sessions have been held across our communities. These sessions allowed people to gain hands-on experience using the site, understand the benefits and explore new key features.

The new streamlined navigation of the website has reduced touch points to simplify the user journey, and our search functionality is wide-ranging and user-friendly with an auto-complete feature.

Since going live, the website has reached around 130,000 views over two weeks showing a positive local interaction.

Performance on the new site has been enhanced with improved load speeds and readability scores showing that the website now uses simpler language and is easier to read and translate.

The new events calendar has been designed to better connect our communities, supporting togetherness while promoting tourism and North Ayrshire’s natural beauty and can easily be shared across social media.

A digital support section is also available on the website to further develop our users’ digital learning to help with the website transition. Take a look at the ‘Introducing the website’ video (or view it below).

Moving forward, the team will continue to create more how-to videos to support digital developments and inclusion on the website.

These will include how to use our web chat, how to login to MyNAC, how to download a bin and school calendar onto your device.
