Stop smoking or vaping this Stoptober

The month of October is also when the annual Health and Social Care campaign Stoptober gets officially underway.

Visit the Stoptober NHS Better Health website to find out all about the host of useful online resources, support and tips to help you to stop smoking or vaping this October.

This is your chance to join millions of people across the UK to stop smoking and boost your health in time for the colder winter months.

Support to stop smoking

NHS Ayrshire & Arran’s ‘Quit Your Way’ is a free service that can support staff and members of the public to stop smoking through face-to-face support, drop-in sessions and support over the phone, including free nicotine replacement therapy if required.

Through Quit Your Way, you can receive free support from a stop smoking advisor.

Your first appointment is usually half an hour. The advisor will ask you to fill in forms to sign up to the service, and can help with this if required. The advisor will provide support and discuss which stop smoking products would best help your quit attempt.
