Restart a Heart CPR live stream training
Be a part of Restart A Heart Live – the UK’s biggest live CPR training event.
Ahead of Restart A Heart Day, led by the Resuscitation Council UK and taking place annually on 16 October, this important virtual training event is all about raising public awareness about cardiac arrests and teaching lifesaving CPR and defibrillator skills.
The live stream event will take place on Thursday 1 October and is hosted by the Resuscitation Council UK alongside partners like Save a Life Cymru and Save a Life for Scotland to teach vital hands-only CPR and defibrillator awareness.
Last year, the online event – particularly aimed at schools and employers – but open to all, reached over 130,000 viewers and the goal this year is to help train 1 million people between now and 2027.
With your support, we can help to build a movement where anyone, anywhere, can feel ready to save a life.
To register to watch the livestream, visit: https://www.restartaheart.live/register
If you cannot watch the sessions live, registering on the website also grants you access to the recordings to view later.
Anyone can register to take part, and it’s a fun, accessible way for primary and secondary schools to get students of all ages learning this lifesaving skill.
No equipment is required. All you need is a cushion, jacket in a bag or teddy and 25 minutes of your time.
What else you can do…
All colleagues should complete the CPR and AED Awareness iLearn module and familiarise themselves with the Council AED Policy and Toolbox Talk via Connects.
To familiarise yourself with the nearest defibrillators near you, visit the British Heart Foundation DefibFinder.
Please note: Use of an Automated external defibrillator (AED) by employees is voluntary but awareness and prompt action can help to save lives.
