Update to NHS Ayrshire and Arran visiting restrictions

Doctor with facemask and poster from NHS about hospital visiting restrictions and tagline: keep your loved ones safe

As flu cases improve, NHS Ayrshire and Arran have reintroduced non-essential visiting at set times across Ayrshire hospitals following a recent period of essential visiting only.

From Thursday 11 December, visiting will be permitted in NHS Ayrshire and Arran hospitals at the following times (each patient can have one visitor):

• 2pm until 3pm (afternoon)

• 7pm until 8pm (evening)

Exceptions remain for:

• end-of-life care

• patients needing additional support due to cognitive impairment or complex care needs (please speak to the Senior Charge Nurse)

Please do not visit if you feel unwell, even with mild symptoms.

Face masks remain available at ward entrances, and visitors are encouraged to wear them.
