How we can all make a difference

Two boxes of naxolone medication

As part of the Leadership Conference, Leanne Woods, Addictions Education and Prevention Specialist with the Prevention and Service Support Team, gave a demonstration on the life-saving drug Naloxone.

This explained how the drug works to temporarily reverse the effects of an opiate overdose, how to spot the signs of an overdose, and how to safely use a Naloxone kit.

We can all make a difference and if any staff members are interested in attending a free Naloxone training session, places can be booked online via the Prevention and Service Support Team training calendar. All participants will be offered a free Naloxone kit on completion of the course.
