Property rationalisation update for Cunninghame House

As part of the council’s broader property rationalisation programme to create the new customer service centre, construction works will begin on Monday 5 January at Cunninghame House ground floor east.
The works will involve erecting a partition wall to separate the reception area from the building works. Disruption and additional noise to the entrance area of the council is to be expected. A sign in reception will thank visitors for their patience and understanding during this time.
Once work begins, the Irvine and Kilwinning Committee Room, Three Towns Committee Room and small interview rooms will no longer be available on the ground floor. Alternative 4th floor meeting rooms will however be able to be booked.
- The new Irvine & Kilwinning Committee Room and the Three Towns Committee Room will be available to book from January 2026 – please note these rooms can be merged if required (please book both rooms in the usual way)
- A new large meeting room located at the entrance to this floor will be available to book from January 2026 and
- A new training suite consisting of six small rooms can be merged to form three large rooms. These rooms will be dedicated training rooms, and as such priority for bookings will be for this purpose. However, when not in use for training purposes these rooms may be booked for meetings and will be authorised by the Council Officers where appropriate.
- From mid-March until mid-May, the Irvine & Kilwinning and Three Towns Committee rooms plus two of the small training rooms will be earmarked for the Election Team in the run up to the Scottish Parliamentary Election
