This week is Modern Apprenticeship Week
From Monday 2 March, we will be taking the time to celebrate the hard work and dedication of all our learners who are working towards their Modern Apprenticeship qualifications and also highlighting upcoming opportunities across the area. As part of the week, the Working North Ayrshire team along with partners Developing the Young Workforce are holding a Youth Recruitment Event at Ayrshire College, Kilwinning Campus. Drop-in on Wednesday 4 March between 5pm and 7pm to find out about the many opportunities available in the area. The event is free however booking is required. Stay tuned to our Facebook for updates.
Monday 2 March: New Graphic Design and Digital Media Services Framework launched
The Communications team have announced the launch of the council’s new Graphic Design and Digital Media Services framework. Read the design framework update to find out everything you need to know. Also on Monday: This week is LGBT Fostering Week
Fostering is open to people from any background, regardless of their ethnicity, religion, culture, sexuality, gender identity, marital status and the type of home they live in. Visit the Fostering section of the NAC website to find out more about becoming a foster carer.
Tuesday 3 March: Financial Harm awareness session
The Adult Support and Protection team are delivering a Microsoft Teams session to help colleagues to recognise financial harm and refer those who meet the appropriate criteria for Adult Support & Protection (Scotland) Act 2007 to the North Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership. To reserve a place on any of the following courses, please email ASP Training.
Also on Tuesday: Meet the MCR mentoring team
Our mentoring partners MCR Pathways will be visiting Cunninghame House, Ground Floor stairwell landing on Tuesday. Drop-in between 11.30am and 1pm to find out about the incredible opportunities for mentoring care experienced young people across North Ayrshire. More info in the MCR news update.
Wednesday 4 March: Community Brokerage Network (CBN) drop-in session
On Wednesday 4 March, CBN are holding a drop-in session all about their new project called Side by Side. Running on Wednesday 4 March (2pm to 6pm) at the Scottish Centre for Personal Safety in Ardrossan, its aim is to support people with learning disabilities and additional needs to feel more confident and connected in their communities. Sandwiches, traybakes and refreshments will be provided.
Thursday 5 March: Mental Health awareness session for managers
Delivered by PAM Wellness, the session is designed to support managers in understanding and promoting mental health and wellbeing within the workplace. The session will be held on Microsoft Teams on Thursday 5 March from 1pm to 2.30pm. You can book your place for the mental health awareness session online.
Sunday 8 March: International Women’s Day
This week we will take to social media to share stories from women, community groups and projects that inspire us across North Ayrshire and the support available to women locally. North Ayrshire Council 2026/27 Budget
Last Wednesday, North Ayrshire Council has approved its Budget for 2026/27 after a meeting of Elected Members. Read the Council's Revenue Budget and Capital Budget to find out more about what this means.

Livewell have teamed up with a range of facilitators to provide a variety of courses and webinars during the month of March. Once registered you will receive a meeting link from PAM Wellness.
